Proposals for GA, 3/6/12

From Jeff:
I Propose we write “Occupy Phoenix is a nonviolent movement that endorses a diversity of tactics” on our social media and websites or use the wording “Occupy Phoenix is a nonviolent movement that nonetheless recognizes the autonomy of individuals to determine the tactics of their own struggles. While the mainstream media may choose to focus on a few incidences of minor vandalism that have occurred near Occupy events in other cities, we reaffirm our view that the violence of our economic system and of state oppression are exponentially more detrimental to the 99% than a few broken windows could ever be.”

From Jeff:
I propose we start a write in campaign right now for the 2012 presidential election, we put out a national call to action to “Occupy the Voting booth” and we write in “Not Applicable” instead of a candidate’s name.

From Samuel:
I Propose that we change the General Assembly days to Tuesdays where proposals, decisions, finances, etc will be done. I also propose that we change the Community Assembly days to Thursday and Saturday as this would be the same schedule as we previously had before.
