I propose that Occupy Phoenix endorse the effort to stop the proposed extension of loop 202 through O’odham lands and the Gila River Indian Community. Native-led groups opposing the 202 extension have asked for our support in this effort.*

We at Occupy Phx have an opportunity to not only stand side by side with our native brethren but also to topple the plans of the machine at work here in Arizona. By standing in solidarity with the indigenous community we will start building a priceless bond within our larger community. The mission is to raise awarness about the NO BUILD option not presented to the community by its own leadership. NO BUILD will protect not only our pockets our eco-system but also a very sacred culture we have stood by and let our own government destroy for far to long…WE MARCH.

I propose a rally at 2pm on Wed the 18th and solidarity march to the MAG meeting at 1st ave and Van Buren where the main rally will be held.
