From Occupy ALEC

30 Nov 2011 by OPHX, 10 Comments »

Today, hundreds of occupiers and protesters came out to Occupy ALEC at the Kierland Resort where the annual ALEC conference was occurring. It didn’t take long for the riot police lining the blockades to confront protesters with rubber bullets and pepper spray. While most members of the sprayed resisters were irritated but unharmed, Tohono O’odham David Ortega, veteran and elder, suffered a stroke after being pepper sprayed in the face by the riot police. By the afternoon, dozens of people were pepper sprayed point blank and seven or eight protesters were arrested.

Will someone please point out where the police used rubber bullets? I don’t see it anywhere in the vids. Where are the videos of the damage being done to the grounds?

  2. Gratt says:

Judging by the heckling above, the occupy movement is making a difference. Most people fear change and are unaware that our country and state are get run into the ground by a corrupt minority. I feel sad for people who are ignorant to what is going on in the world around them.

This was pretty weak. Looks more like a few shrill voices at a bakesale vs. a real protest. Thse Phoenix PD had no challenge here at all. Who are you protecting?!?!?! Can this shrill woman yell it a few more times?? We don’t get it.. duh…. Bathe, shave (Occupy women) and get a freakin’ job you loosers.

    1. Phil says:

Learn how to spell before you launch “insults,” Rolly. I actually think there might be a literacy teach-in at Occupy, you should stop by.

      1. Schmeasful says:

You “actually think”, Phil, as opposed to when you just do so theoretically?

        Good job, buddy!

Rolly: You meant “losers”; let’s make sure we’re calling them what they really are.

You people are idiots. Get the hell out of here and go start your own country.

  6. Laura Quinn says:

You guys are so awesome and strong. It is difficult for me to get out to these meet-ups, but I try to follow online. I talk to as many people as I can about our movement, much of the truth is only being spread by word of mouth to the older folks. It is so important to fight back against the mainstream media and their private political agenda. Stay strong… The fight will be long, but the end results will be worth it. When our nation is back to being of the people and for the people, we will know peace.

    1. Rolly Tolleson says:

Awesome and strong? What a tard.
