The ALEC Controversy From 11/30/2011 (Video Evidence Of Police Brutality)

1 Dec 2011 by OPHX, 8 Comments »

Video evidence that Police instigated the violence at the ALEC protests on Wednesday, not the protestors. Unless of course it is standard procedure while setting up a barricade to lean it forward to the ground to try and smash anyone sitting in front of it! This is unacceptable. These officers should be fired, NOW!

We also just emailed this video to the Phoenix Police Department. We suggest you do the same at http://phoenix.gov/EMAIL/empolice.html.

At about 1:30 in the video you can see Phoenix PD rushing towards protesters that seem to be backing away, pushing them over, pepper spraying them, and dismantling their banners.

This next video is RAW footage. The incident occurs at around 30 minutes.

[...] November 30, 13 people were arrested at Occupy Phoenix for the SHUT DOWN ALEC [...]

Law is being selectively enforced. I stood there for two days hearing people honk their horns all day long. When I left and tooted my horn in support of half a dozen peaceful sign carriers surrounded by three dozen cops in full riot gear, I was pulled over and issued a citation for “unlawful use of horn.” We are living in undeclared martial law.

      I call BS.

Selective enforcement? Firstly there was not any “supportive” honking. They were all just laughing at you. I’m glad some of you got pepper sprayed; I only wish I could have been the one to do it.

What the hell do you expect police to try to do when you “poor li’l protesters” GRAB a barricade and push back? Were you really expecting a “now now, don’t do that!”. And then someone damages the hotel’s property, and what then, you expect a “Bad protester! Bad!”
You must all have your parents still wiping your asses for you, if that’s the case.

Where’s the media on the stupid stuff members of your “rally” did? Not on this page, for sure. But honesty is something you expect out of others? Let’s see some of you own up, and then I *might* feel the most miniscule amount of respect for you.

      Then again…

I suggest we call for a Emergency march on the police department to raise media awareness on the assaults occurring on our occupants! That is pepper spray three days in a row on peaceful protesters and countless arrests. We should tally numbers, research the unjust arrest, call out the selective enforcement AND announce the footage of the police initiating the assault at ALEC on Day 1. MASS ACTION MARCH AGAINST PHOENIX PD BRUTALITY! We need pictures, videos and factual stories ASAP before they can form a defense and twist the tape. There are many supporters who do not check in regularly. If they knew the violent actions have not ended, they may come down and support us! The Media will not spread this message for us, we have to MAKE THEM. Need theatrics? Do something theatrical like pouring milk and magnesia all over our bodies before we march big sign saying “we might as well be prepared to be violated” or something like that… something to draw media, other than more pepper spray.

I remember working for a Republican business man when Kent State happened. He said the National Guard should have shot all the students. Anon (above) is of the same cloth” can’t see reality for the fog of conformity.

  5. Anon says:

This is too funny, peaceful what? Where is the peaceful – more like screechy and good to see you get your pepperspray bath, hippy.

  6. Schmeasful says:

    more like obnoxious.

  7. ZAPatty says:

    We are unstoppable.
